The Empire State Winter Games for the Physically Challenged is a fantastic starting point for adaptive skiers. The race will be held at Whiteface's Bear Den Learning Center and athletes will have a chance to work with experienced coaches and volunteers to help them reach the finish line!

REFUNDS
There are no refunds of entry fees. While registering please double-check the dates of competition and qualification requirements needed to compete. In the case of a medical emergency, depending on the circumstances, a refund MAY be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Empire State Winter Games, in conjunction with the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) and NYSEF, proudly host a variety of adaptive alpine ski events for athletes of all ability levels at the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center. Adaptive alpine races are open to all persons with a physical or cognitive disability. You do not have to be a New York State resident to participate in the Empire State Games.
Assisted novice adaptive athletes will compete on the Otter Trail, which is conveniently located at Whiteface Mountain's Bear Den Learning Center. These competitors will be assisted up the bunny hutch chairlift by qualified personnel, including members of the Whiteface Ski School adaptive staff, and guided down in special sleds through a flagged GS course. Each competitor will be entitled to two timed runs with the fastest run determining their placing. Helmets are mandatory for all athletes. All equipment will be provided upon request.
