Opening Ceremony

The 2026 Empire State Winter Games will kick off with an unforgettable Opening Ceremony on Thursday, February 5 at 7PM, celebrating this year’s theme, “Where Chill Meets Will.” The ceremony brings together winter sports athletes from across the Northeast and Canada for a powerful showcase of athleticism, community, and winter spirit.

Hosted by acclaimed broadcaster Tom Messner, the evening will feature a headline performance by the Turbo Twins from Montreal, compelling video storytelling, and the time-honored traditions of the Games, including the Athlete Parade. The Opening Ceremony sets the tone for an exciting weekend of competition and celebration in the Adirondacks.
